Hey there, Friend!
Welcome to November! 🍁 This month, we’re embracing the theme Grateful Heart, Peaceful Mind—a reminder that the calm we crave often begins with the gratitude we practice.
☕ Inside this edition: a Coffee Thought on finding thankfulness in everyday moments, reflections on how peace grows when gratitude starts within, and a reminder that nurturing our relationships begins with nurturing ourselves.
As the world around us speeds up toward the holidays, take a breath and slow down with me. Let’s spend this month noticing the good, practicing gratitude in small ways, and giving ourselves permission to rest in the peace that follows.
Coffee Thoughts: Focusing on the Good Stuff
How did we arrive in November already? Wasn’t it just last week that I was drinking my coffee in the sunshine behind my house? The leaves have all changed, and now it’s dark more than it’s light.
November is the month that hosts Thanksgiving and reminds us to be thankful. One thing I’ve learned in life is that focusing on what you’re grateful for changes everything. And it’s not just something to practice once a year—it’s something worth carrying with us every day.
Regardless of your beliefs, there’s a verse that has always resonated deeply with me:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” — Philippians 4:8
To me, that means giving your energy and attention to the good things in life—the things that lift your spirit, bring you joy, and remind you how beautiful this world can be. Gratitude isn’t just a feeling; it’s a mindset. One we can choose, nurture, and return to over and over again.
Can you imagine what your life might look like in a week, a month, or a year if you focused on the good—in yourself, in your circumstances, and in the people around you?
I’m going to try it this week. I’ll let you know how it goes. Maybe you’ll try it with me? I’d love to hear what shifts for you.
Gratitude Starts Within
We often think of gratitude as something we give outwardly—to people, to circumstances, to the moments that make life sweet. But the truth is, lasting gratitude starts within us.
When we learn to appreciate who we are, where we are, and even what we’ve already overcome, something shifts. Gratitude stops being an occasional practice and becomes a way of life—a quiet current running beneath everything else.
It’s easy to look outside ourselves for reasons to be thankful: a good day, a kind word, a bit of luck, or a moment of beauty. But real peace begins when you can look inward and say, “I’m grateful for me, too.” Grateful for your resilience, your growth, your ability to keep going.
Because when gratitude lives inside you, it changes the way you see the world around you. The hard days feel lighter. The small joys feel brighter. And even when life feels uncertain, you can still find peace in knowing that gratitude is your anchor.
So this week, start small. Thank yourself for something you’ve been overlooking—something that might not seem “big enough” but matters deeply. Let that gratitude take root in your heart, and watch how it grows into peace.
Take a Moment for Self-Reflection
Gratitude isn’t just about counting blessings—it’s about recognizing your own light and giving thanks for the person you’re becoming. Take a quiet moment this week to reflect:
What part of myself am I most grateful for right now?
How has practicing gratitude—toward myself or others—brought more peace into my life?
Where can I offer myself a little more appreciation and grace this week?
When gratitude starts within, peace follows. You don’t have to wait for perfect circumstances to feel thankful—you can choose gratitude right here, right now.
My Personal Reflections: Gratitude in the Quiet Moments
Since writing those Coffee Thoughts, I’ve been making a conscious effort to pause throughout my day and say, thank you. Not just for the obvious things, but for the quiet ones too—the warm coffee in my hands, the laughter from another room, the steady rhythm of my own heartbeat.
I’m learning that gratitude isn’t always loud or grand. It often shows up in stillness—in the deep breath between tasks, the calm after a long day, the gentle awareness that I’m exactly where I need to be.
The more I practice it, the more I realize that peace doesn’t come from everything being perfect. It comes from noticing the good, even in the midst of imperfection.
Gratitude has a way of whispering, “You’re doing okay.” And sometimes, that’s all the reminder we need.
What I Read This Week
This week, I’ve been diving into The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod — our November pick inside The Inspired Page book club. It’s one of those reads that makes you pause and think, “Maybe peace isn’t something I have to find… maybe it’s something I can create.”
Elrod’s approach to mornings is simple but powerful: start your day with intention, gratitude, and a little bit of quiet time before the rest of the world comes rushing in. It’s not about perfection; it’s about presence.
That message really hit home for me this week. Gratitude doesn’t just happen—it’s a practice, a mindset, a conscious choice to notice the good before the noise sets in. When we start our mornings grounded in thankfulness, the rest of the day feels different. Lighter. Calmer. More centered.
I’m realizing that a grateful heart truly does make for a peaceful mind… and maybe that’s the real miracle of the morning.

Gratitude grows even deeper when we extend it to the people in our lives—and it starts with how we show up in those relationships. That’s what Course #2: Nurturing Self-Love in Relationships is all about.

Wrapping Up with Inspiration
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” — Wayne Dyer
Gratitude doesn’t just shift your perspective—it transforms your entire world. The more you focus on what’s good, what’s working, and what’s beautiful around you, the more peace begins to settle within you. A grateful heart really does create a peaceful mind.
Before I go…
As we step into this new month, I hope you’ll take a little extra time to notice the good—within yourself and around you. Gratitude doesn’t have to be grand or complicated; it’s the quiet acknowledgment of what’s already here, right now.
The more you practice it, the more peace you’ll find. And the more peace you find, the more love naturally flows from you to others. That’s how it all connects—a grateful heart, a peaceful mind, and a life that feels like home.
Never Forget...
You Are Beautiful!

And I Believe in YOU!
Much Love,
